The song is "Stay With Me" by the Romanian group Akcent, released in 2009. The clip comes from a summer 2024 Instagram Reel of friends dancing at a rest stop, and in 2026 it took off again as people recast it with AI, as Sky TG24 reported.

The clip moves through four beats, and each new performer follows them in the same order.

1. A man dances alone on the open tarmac.
2. A friend turns the camera on himself and moves to the beat.
3. The camera swings to the cars, and a woman leans out and walks up to the lens.
4. She dances between the two cars as the sun goes down.

Why people call it the Akcent trend

The song gave the clip its name, so people call it the Stay With Me trend, the Akcent trend or the Akcent dance. The same video also travels as the Gas Station Dance, the Parking Lot Dance and the Stay With Me car reveal, and in Italy as the Autogrill dance. Why the car reveal works so well with AI
