A camper van takes off, and other flying car clips
First, three videos made with this generator: both photos, a car photo only and a portrait only. Then the clip it follows and two popular takes on the trend, each linked to its creator.
A camper van with a new driver
Generated on this page from two photos: a weathered blue VW camper van and a portrait of a woman with a black bob. She looks out of the side window as the van hovers, fires its jets and lifts off.
A rusty camper van lifts off
Generated on this page from a car photo only: a side shot of a weathered blue VW camper van. The van hovers along the curb, fires its jets and climbs into the sky, keeping its boxy shape, white roof and faded paint.
Same sports car, new driver
Generated on this page from a portrait only. The white sports car stays as filmed, and the woman from the photo sits at the wheel as it leaves the street.
The street lift-off this template uses
A white sports car hovers along the curb, blasts its jets at the road and climbs into the sky. Your car takes its place.
@_mister_zThe parking spot steal
Drone and security-camera views of a full parking lot: a white car drops out of the sky into the last free spot in a cloud of smoke.
@krishnak3212Everyone flies, the old car drives
Rows of flying cars fill the sky while one old red hatchback drives alone down an empty highway at sunset.
@xander.sgcQuick walkthrough
How to make your car fly
Pick your car, your face or both, and the street lift-off is ready in My Work about ten minutes later.
Add your car, yourself or both
Put a car photo in Your car, a portrait in You at the wheel, or fill both; one is enough. Show the whole car from the side or a three-quarter angle, and use a clear front-facing photo of yourself. Whatever you leave empty stays as in the example.
Generate the lift-off
Sign in and press Generate; the button shows the 110 credits before anything starts. The hover, the jet blast, the flying newspapers and the jet sound all come from the reference clip, so you skip the prompt and the video upload. Seedance renders the 11-second 9:16 clip, then it is upscaled to 1080p.
Watch your car fly away
Rendering and upscaling take about ten minutes and keep going if you close the tab. Open My Work on this page to watch the car climb off the street, then download the MP4. If the task fails, its credits come back automatically.

Ideas
Which car, and who drives
Swap the car, the driver or both. The joke works best when everyone watching knows the car or the face.
Your daily driver
The hatchback, sedan or SUV you park outside every day. Friends recognize it at once, so seeing it lift off over a street lands harder than any concept car.
Your new car, with you driving
Picked up the keys this week? Add the car and a photo of yourself. The clip this template follows was posted as "Day 1 with my new Tesla," and the same line works for any new car.
An old pickup or a classic
A boxy pickup or a rusty classic hovering on jets is the opposite of a sleek sports car, and that contrast is the punchline. The trend’s "the old guy wins" clip runs on the same idea.
A friend in the sports car
No car photo needed: add a portrait of the friend who just passed the driving test, and they take the wheel of the white sports car as it leaves the ground.
The trend
Where the flying car AI trend comes from
What the flying car AI trend is
The flying car AI trend is a wave of short AI videos in which ordinary cars hover on jets and take off over streets, traffic and parking lots. It took off in October 2026, after Tesla’s Roadster launch showed a car briefly leaving the ground and Elon Musk posted "Turns out the future does have flying cars."
The version this template follows
A street lift-off posted by @_mister_z as "Day 1 with my new Tesla": the car hovers along the curb, blasts paper across the road and climbs away. Here your car, you, or both take its place.
Photo guide
Photo tips for the car and the driver
The model can only rebuild the parts of the car it can see, and the driver is seen through a side window.
- Fit the whole car in the frame, bumper to bumper, with all four wheels visible and some space around it.
- Shoot from the side or a three-quarter angle so the length and roofline show. The clip opens on the side of the car and ends on its rear.
- Use daylight or even, bright light: an overcast day, open shade or a well-lit garage.
- Keep one car in the photo against a simple background, such as a driveway, an empty lot or a plain wall.
- For the driver, use a front-facing photo of one person with the face clearly visible.
- Avoid straight-on front or rear shots, which hide the profile of the car.
- Avoid busy lots with several cars, people standing in front of the car, heavy filters or strong glare on dark paint.
FAQ
Flying Car FAQ
What is the flying car AI trend?
The flying car AI trend is a set of short AI videos, made after the Tesla Roadster launch on October 15, 2026, in which cars hover, fire jets and fly over streets, traffic and parking lots. This template makes the street lift-off version with your own car, yourself at the wheel, or both.
How do I make my car fly in an AI video?
Add a photo of your car on this page, sign in and press Generate. The template replaces the white sports car in the reference clip with your car and keeps the hover, the jets, the street and the camera. Add a portrait too if you want to be the driver. The finished 11-second 1080p MP4 appears in My Work.
What kind of car photo can I use?
One photo of one car, SUV, van or pickup, in JPG, PNG or WebP, at least 300 pixels on each side and up to 10 MB. The body shape, color, wheels and lights come from the photo, so a side or three-quarter shot with the whole car in frame works best.
Can I put myself in the driver’s seat?
Yes. Add a front-facing portrait in You at the wheel and you replace the driver seen through the side window; add a car photo too to fly your own car. The driver shows mainly in the first seconds, before the camera moves behind the car.
How much does it cost and how long does it take?
Each flying car video costs 110 credits for an 11-second 1080p clip, and the Generate button shows the amount before you start. Credits come from credit packs. Generation and upscaling usually take about ten minutes and continue in the background. If the task fails, the charged credits return automatically.
Does the video have sound?
Yes. The jet blast and street sound from the reference clip are added to the finished video, timed to the hover and the lift-off.
Did the Tesla Roadster really fly?
It made real short jumps. At the October 15, 2026 launch the car flipped off a ramp with cold-air thrusters and jumped over five parked cars, and fact-checkers rated that footage real. It did not fly for long, and the street lift-off clips in this trend, including this template, are AI-generated.
Is this an official Tesla template?
No. SameVid is not affiliated with Tesla. The template follows the AI clips people made after the launch and works with your own car and your own photo.
